Andrea Arenas

Andrea Arenas, started playing percussion at the age of 10, participating since that young age in multiple tours with the Symphonic Youth Orchestra of Venezuela playing with important conductors as Gustavo Dudamel and Claudio Abbado in very important Halls around the world, Andrea belongs to a generation of outstanding musicians emerging from Venezuela’s El Sistema.

Andrea graduated in Electronic Engineering and with 15 years of experience has developed her career as a sound engineer. She has experience in live sound, recording, and musical production with symphonic orchestras from “El Sistema” and other musical ensembles. Her professional background ranges from working in recording productions with the Deutsche Grammophon with Gustavo Dudamel, as well as technical support of SSL, Digico consoles, and other recognized brands in Hermes Music for bands such as Maná, Vicente Fernández, Ricky Martin, etc. She has been a sound technician at various Cirque du Soleil shows such as At sea, Luzia, Amaluna, and Totem.

She actively volunteers in the SoundGirls community and she has also been part of the Diversify the Stage mentoring program and as a jury in the Hit Like a Girl contest. She is currently studying for a master’s degree in Cultural Management. She is implementing her personal project Sandtracks and she is currently part of the sound team of the show La Perle by Dragone in the city of Dubai.
