Nautica Gigs

I’ve recently have been training as a PA Tech at a local venue, Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica. The venue is a shed with a covered stage that seats about 5,000. It is located in Cleveland Flats and is right on the river. Each of the shows I have worked on has had the same PA and setup configuration. First Out of State Gig – Take One!

The Truck

While working at Eighth Day Sound I am required to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License in order to drive the trucks. For that I would need a Class A CDL, but I currently find tackling a Class B CDL a good challenge to start with. I have recently acquired my CDL temps after passing a basic written exam covering everything from traffic laws, airbrakes, automatic and manual truck transmissions, stopping times, avoiding hazards, differences between the CDL classes, and special permits such as hazardous material transport.
