SoulSound Work Experience Program
SoulSound is offering a work experience programme with Christchurch Spitalfields. The first opportunity coming up on Sunday 6th September.
CC Spits is a pretty cool and groovy church with a 7 piece band including a cello and violin, with, of course, challenging acoustics. This is an ideal opportunity to gain experience with classical and well as contemporary instruments, spoken word and in-built “cathedral” reverb.
The day would be from 8.30AM to 7.30PM with a one hour lunch break, running two services, and working alongside the engineer.
This would suit you if you are:
- a Monthly or Annual Soulsound Member,
- know one end of an XLR from the other, own a pair of steelies
You should be serious about a career in sound and over 16 years old. - You will get the chance to shadow the FOH engineer,
- understand dealing with cavernous spaces,
- work with a 7 piece band including cello, violin and three vocals,
- familiarise yourself with the LS9 and mixing with an iPad
There will be a selection process, so please email darryn@soulsound.co.uk with the following:
a couple of paragraphs about yourself, what your interest and experience is
your CV if you have one – no worries if you don’t.
